The next PatriotNurse Medical Prep 101 class will be held on Sunday, June 24th in Fort Wayne Indiana.

In this 8-hour class, we will learn about the diseases and conditions most likely to strike in a long term disaster scenario, and in everyday life too! Skills sessions will include Physical Assessment, Taking Blood Pressure, Assisting with a birth, Post-mortem care, Drug calculation, Austere rehydration (when you don’t have IV fluids), and much more! The student will leave this class equipped with the knowledge and skills to better safeguard their loved ones’ health whatever life may throw at them! Come with an open mind and an eagerness to learn. No prior medical training is necessary.

Medical Prep 201

This 8 hour class is designed to give a hands-on learning experience that builds skills and knowledge for dealing with medical problems in a WROL (Without Rule of Law) scenario.  Whether faced with a long term disaster scenario, the aftermath of a natural disaster, or everyday mishaps, the student will leave class knowing how to:

Identify most likely medical challenges

Care for and treat common diseases

Conduct physical assessments

Employ skills such as medicine dosage calculation, austere-condition rehydration, wound care and management, assisting with birth, post-mortem care.

Here’s a quick review that I posted following a really neat training event in Memphis, TN last month.

This class will be taught in Nashville, TN (hosted by ZombieSquad, Nashville chapter) on January 7th, @ 1300 hours. The lecture will last approximately 1-1.5 hrs, with plenty of time for Q & A afterwards. Admission is $25 per person and will be located at Corinthian Lodge #414, 1400 Eastland Ave, Nashville, TN.
